Getting started
Set up safely before you customize
Narrivelle is an editorial commerce theme for fashion, apparel, and lifestyle stores. Start in a duplicate of your live theme so every meaningful change can be previewed before it is published.
Before you begin
Duplicate your live theme before making substantial changes. Work in the duplicate, preview it with your real catalog at desktop and mobile widths, and keep the published theme available as a rollback copy until the work is approved.
Create a working copy
In Shopify admin, open Online Store → Themes and duplicate the live theme. Name the copy with the date and purpose of the work, for example “Narrivelle — navigation review”. This makes it clear which copy is safe to edit and which copy is live.
Work in the Theme Editor
Open Customize on the copy, make one related change at a time, then preview the relevant storefront page before saving. Use the page selector to inspect the exact template affected instead of assuming a global setting looks correct everywhere.
Start with real store data
Select real products, collections, pages, menus, and images as you configure sections. Editor placeholders can be useful while building, but they are not a substitute for checking empty states, long product names, unavailable variants, and missing media on the storefront.
Keep Shopify-owned surfaces native
Checkout, payments, customer accounts, delivery, taxes, gift-card status, and app-provided functionality remain managed by Shopify or the relevant provider. Narrivelle presents those native surfaces when available; do not recreate them with manual copy or custom code.
