Keep your storefront ready to publish
Use a draft copy of your theme for meaningful changes and updates. Keep your live theme untouched until the new version looks and works as expected.
Work in a draft theme
Duplicate the live theme before an update or significant change. Make and review changes in the draft; publish it only when it is ready.
Check the customer journey
Open Home, collections, products, cart, search, key information pages, header, footer, and menus. Make sure copy, images, links, prices, and product availability are correct.
Keep a record
Before updating, note your app blocks and any merchant-added custom content so they can be checked again in the new theme copy.
Ask for support with useful details
Share the store URL, theme version, page URL, device, a short description of what happened, and a screenshot or video when contacting support.
