Turn one complete collection into a focused product edit
Open Customize → Home page → Add section → Featured edit. The section renders products from one selected Shopify collection; it does not create, curate, or reorder products itself.
Select a maintained collection
The Collection picker is the source of truth. The section displays products in that collection’s Shopify order and its View all link points to the same collection. Prepare product titles, images, prices, availability, and collection order in Shopify before styling this section.
Plan the desktop product limit
Desktop columns can be three or four, and Desktop rows can be one through four. Narrivelle multiplies those controls to determine the maximum number of collection products shown: from 3 to 16. Products beyond that limit remain available through the collection’s View all link.
Keep the card treatment useful
Show price and Show index control the price and sequential position treatment in this section. Image size controls the common media crop, while Show second image permits a product’s secondary media to appear where the card interaction supports it. These are display choices; product price, availability, variants, and media remain Shopify data.
Test the responsive browsing path
At desktop, cards use the selected three- or four-column layout. Below desktop the grid becomes two cards wide; at compact width it becomes a horizontal scroll row with snap points. Test the first and final card, long titles, sale and sold-out states, secondary images, touch scroll, and the collection destination.
Settings reference
Use this reference while working in the Theme Editor. Setting names match the Narrivelle controls.
| Theme Editor setting | What it controls | Use and review |
|---|---|---|
| Collection | Selects the Shopify collection whose products and collection URL the section uses. | Choose a populated, customer-ready collection. The section follows Shopify collection ordering and does not provide individual product pickers or manual product ordering. |
| Heading | Sets the section title displayed above the product grid. | Make the title consistent with the selected collection. An empty heading leaves the section without a title, while the View all destination still follows the selected collection. |
| Heading size / Heading alignment | Chooses Small, Medium, or Large type scale and Left, Center, or Right header alignment. | Review the heading together with View all. The header stacks vertically on compact screens, even when it is side-aligned at desktop. |
| Show price | Shows or hides product price in cards rendered by this Featured edit section. | If hidden, ensure customers can still understand the merchandising context before they enter a product. Verify regular, compare-at, sale, and sold-out catalog states on the product page. |
| Show index | Shows a sequential card index above product media, including the displayed-card total. | Use when the edit is intentionally ordered. Check that the displayed total reflects the chosen rows and columns, not the entire collection. |
| Desktop product columns / Desktop product rows | Sets 3 or 4 desktop columns and 1–4 rows; together they set the product display limit. | Multiply the two values before selecting the collection. Choose a limit that leaves a balanced final row and test it on common laptop widths. |
| Image size | Sets a shared Square, Portrait, or Tall image ratio for this section’s product cards. | Use one ratio that works across the selected collection. Review portrait and landscape source media for undesired cropping. |
| Show second image | Allows product cards to use a secondary product image when one exists and the card interaction reveals it. | Enable only when second images add useful product context. Check keyboard focus as well as pointer interaction, and confirm that each product has a suitable second image. |
