Cart drawer and cart page
Explain the two customer cart experiences controlled by Theme settings.
Products and cart
Choose the store cart experience
Open Theme settings → Cart to choose Cart drawer or Cart page. Both use the same Shopify cart, line items, discounts, order note, subtotal, and checkout handoff.
Cart drawer
Cart drawer opens as an overlay from the current page. It shows cart lines, quantity controls, discounts, an optional order note, subtotal, checkout note, checkout action, and a link to the full cart page.
Cart page
Cart page is the dedicated Shopify cart route. It shows the cart lines beside a summary with discounts, optional order note, subtotal, checkout note, update action, and checkout action.
Shared cart data
Both cart views use Shopify line-item information: product, variant, selling plan, properties, discount allocations, quantity, and price. Final tax, shipping, payment, and checkout eligibility remain Shopify-controlled.
Cart settings
Cart type selects the customer journey. Cart icon changes the header symbol. Show order note and Checkout note apply to both cart experiences.
